Starting November 22 2022, you will have to first connect a payment processor to start accepting payments for your Jemi store. This means unless you connect a payment processor, you will not be able to receive any orders on Jemi.

With this new update, you'll soon be able change your store's currency, have more visibility on your payout statuses, refund orders easily, and more.

You can connect your store with Stripe, PayPal, or both. If you only connect to Stripe, you will only be able to accept payments in debit & credit card. If you only connect to PayPal, you'll only be able to accept payments via PayPal. Connecting to both will give you and your customers maximum flexibility.

Choosing which processor to use for your online store depends on a few factors, like where you're located and which payment methods you want to offer.

This guide covers these options and tips on selecting the best one for your needs.

Stripe

Stripe is one of the most widely used payment processors in the world. Jemi partners with Stripe to make it easier for Jemi users to accept payments easily and securely all around the world.

Connecting Stripe lets your customers pay with their debit and credit card without creating or logging into an account. Stripe accepts payments from these cards:

  • Visa (credit and debit cards)
  • MasterCard (credit and debit cards)
  • American Express
  • Discover (US merchants only)

To connect your website to Stripe, follow the following steps.

  1. Go to the “Payouts” tab in your dashboard
  2. Click “Connect” Under Stripe
  3. Follow the steps to finish your payout
  4. After you properly connect your store to Stripe, you'll receive a confirmation email from Jemi.

PayPal

If you want your customers to have the option to checkout via PayPal, you’ll have to connect your Jemi site with a PayPal Business account. Once you connect your site to PayPal, customers will be able to click Continue with PayPal to log into their PayPal account and complete the purchase.

To connect your site to PayPal, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the “Payouts” tab in your dashboard
  2. Click “Connect” Under PayPal
  3. Follow the steps to finish your payout
  4. After connecting your store to a PayPal account, you'll receive a confirmation email from Jemi.

Offering Stripe and PayPal (Recommended)

Connecting both Stripe and PayPal will give you and your store the widest range of payment methods.

PayPal is popular internationally, while Stripe lets customers pay with debit and credit cards without creating or logging into an account. By offering both, you support customers checking out with their preferred payment method.
